It's probably impossible to achieve what you're talking about without having a developer build you a custom template.
One way to solve the problem would be to use a theme with a page builder feature. This one is good and, even better, free to download. https://thethemefoundry.com/wordpress-themes/make/ You should be able to create the layout you're talking about. Elegant Themes also sells themes with a good page builder feature.
Hopefully you aren't too attached the Twenty Eleven theme. You may have to build templates that have a similar look if you are. But, if you're looking to do this yourself without coding chops then this is probably your best option.
